Tupac Moms Busted For Marijuana
Late rapper Tupac Shakur’s mother, Afeni, was arrested earlier this month on a drug possession charge after being busted by North Carolina police.
According to reports, Afeni was arrested on April 16.
The mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur was arrested earlier this month by state alcohol agents. Afeni Shakur Davis, 63, of the 2900 block of Crystal Lane in Lumberton, was charged April 16 with felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance and simple possession of a controlled substance. Afeni later posted a jail bond to avoid spending time behind bars.
She is out of jail on a $10,000 bond, and her court date is scheduled for May 10. Shakur is a Lumberton native who is best known for her work as a political activist and former Black Panther. She also is the mother of rapper Tupac, who was gunned down in Las Vegas in 1996. His murder remains unsolved.
