Rapper Shyne to be released from jail on October 6, 2009
After serving eight-and-a-half years of a 10 year sentence for his role in the infamous Club New York shooting on December 27, 1999, (taking the fall for P. Diddy) Shyne finally knows the day he will once again become a free man: October 6, 2009. That release date has already been confirmed by the parole board, but a hearing tomorrow will outline the parameters of ‘Po’s parole, details that could determine whether or not the former Bad Boy Records artist will be able to resume his recording career free of stifling restrictions.
The big man Jay-Z allegedly and reportedly went to visit Shyne last Friday. Shyne is with the state and at N.I.C. for his court hearings to see if they will let him out early. Jay Z wants to sign Shyne to a record deal. I wonder what Diddy has to say about that? Seeing that he is still signed to Bad Boy Records.
Shyne has served a long time, he’s become an Orthodox Jew (and changed his name to Moses Michael Leviy), and is very devoted to his faith. He still has alot of friends in the business who care about him, and I hope he still wants to make music.
