A man in Detroit, Michigan has been charged with threatening to kill rapper Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce.

In a complaint filed yesterday (August 5), Leon Desmond Barrett allegedly sent dozens of threatening letters between 2006 and 2009.

Some of which reportedly contained promises of violence against the famous couple.

Barrett denied the allegations.

The United States government has cracked down on mail fraud since the 9/11 terror attacks on the United States, in addition to a spate of letters mailed with Anthrax.
