Sometimes — no matter how poppin’ you are — a hip-hop artist has a hard time pleasing the crowd. Ask buzzing Atlanta rapper OJ Da Juiceman, who didn’t get the warm welcome he might’ve expected during a recent New York performance.

OJ hit New York recently for the annual CMJ Music Marathon, and fans just weren’t feeling him. He hit the stage during the early morning hours of Thursday (October 22), only to get booed.

The rapper — who’s known for coming up under Gucci Mane — was only able to get off around three songs, before fans’ overwhelming boos forced him to end his performance and leave the stage.

There were other southern artists who also performed, but OJ was reportedly the only one to receive such harsh fanfare.

OJ Da Juiceman’s debut album hit, “Make Tha Trap Say Aye,” gained steam nationally after earning recognition on New York radio, but it didn’t seem to matter to the crowd.

His most recent release is a mixtape with DJ Holiday, titled Alaska in Atlanta. Cop it now over at MixtapePass.com.

Other performers who hit the stage at the CMJ showcase included Raekwon, Jadakiss, Styles P, Donnis and Pill.
