Beyonce’s acting coach Ivana Chubbuck is already starting the Oscar buzz for Beyonce’s performance as Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records.
“I remember after Monster’s Ball thinking, ‘Halle’s going to get an Oscar nomination.’ I feel that way about Beyonce in this film. I think there is going to be some Oscar buzz around her; she’s just that great,” Chubbuck says in the November issue of Essence.
The chart-topper has already won the approval of the legendary singer. “It’s a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl,” Etta James told New York Post’s Page Six. “I don’t think she looks like me, but that’s all right. They can fix that up,”
Cadillac Records (due in December) tells the story of the rise and fall of the Chicago based R&B label Chess Records and also stars Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters and Mos Def as Chuck Berry.

Are they Serious?????!!??? Who did she pay to nominate her for an Oscar??? LOL!!! Did we all watch the same movie??? LOL, this is hilarious, Beyonce is determined to get that Oscar huh!! She can’t be outdone by Jennifer Hudson. She really needs to be careful she can really kill her career this way. She needs to stick to singing, she has no acting talent!!!!
Please her performance in this movie was as wooden as the dream girl movie the only difference is she actually moved around this time. If that girl daddy don’t stop trying to make people buy her crap for all the wrong reasons “to keep making him rich” damn she married Jay- Z. I honestly thought that this would be a better performance. she does sing nice, nut for real that was $155.00 i could have giving to the salvation army guy that was there ringing the bell. Lord please forgive me i loved beyonce but once again she proved sour. I bought the album but it was uhm… something now i took my whole family telling them her performance was better this time. because they were seeing that her performance was OSCAR worthy and crap… she fooled me once again. Gluttony will get you no where. I do not hate on Beyonce, but it’s fairly greedy to expect an Oscar simply because one is a superstar. She needs to pay her dues like the rest of the struggling actors. Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar because she had the genuine talent of making the audience feel the pain she was suffering. Beyonce’s voice has certainly matured, but she should not be greedy about getting an Oscar only a few years after starting to make movies.
