According to the National Enquirer, Jennifer Hudson may have been the real target of William Balfour – the man who brutally murdered Jennifer’s mother, brother and nephew.

Julia [Hudson's] mother kicked [William] out of the family home last May because of his drug dealing, and he was furious. He vowed to Julia that her family would regret it and said he’d kill Jennifer … He knew Jennifer was the most important person in their lives and that her death would devastate them…
He also said he was going to kidnap [7 year old] Julian and she’d never see him again. And he said, ‘Then when your famous sister gets back into town, I’ll do her too!’ said the source.
