Actor Michael Douglas’ son will be jailed for at least 10 years after pleading guilty yesterday to dealing large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine from a trendy Manhattan hotel where he was arrested last year.

In addition to conspiracy to distribute drugs, Cameron Douglas, 31, pleaded guilty to heroin possession — a charge stemming from allegations that his girlfriend tried to smuggle the drug to him in an electric toothbrush while he was under house arrest.

He faces a minimum 10-year prison term at sentencing on April 27.

“I think he handled it well under the circumstances,” defense attorney Nicholas DeFeis said after his client’s plea.

Douglas was arrested July 28, 2009, at the Hotel Gansevoort as part of a Drug Enforcement Administration investigation.

Rapper T.I. could be back in front of a judge, but instead of criminal charges, the rapper is being sued for copyright infringement by an upcoming rapper.

At issue is T.I.’s Grammy Award winning song “What You Know,” which Nathan Filby aka Motoe Blizzid, claims T.I. stole.

Filby, who is being represented by One LLP, claims the 2006 track sampled portions of a 2004 song he made titled Reverence.

He claims that the track was delivered to a number of industry insiders before reaching a representative at Relentless Management, a company that reportedly works with T.I.

In court documents, One LLP and Filby claimed that the tracks contain the “same harmonic” range and lawyers even presented documents that showed an algorithm that claimed to show the song’s similarities scientifically.

According to reports, Filby seeks a trial by jury and all profits derived from the song, which was featured on T.I.’s hit album King.

T.I. is currently in a halfway house after serving almost 8 months in a low security prison, after he was caught purchasing machine guns and silencers in October of 2008.

Beyonce and Madonna have been added as performers to Friday’s multi-network “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon, and Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and former President Bill Clinton are among the participants.

Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Wyclef Jean, Bono, The Edge and Jay-Z will also lead the all-star lineup of performers for Friday night’s “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon. More than 100 stars have signed on to help raise funds for the MTV Networks-sponsored show, which will benefit the victims of last week’s devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake on the impoverished island.

A statement released Thursday said Beyonce would perform from London, and Madonna from New York City. The list of musical performers already includes such heavyweights as Jay Z, Wyclef , Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting, while the Los Angeles show will feature performances from Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Timberlake, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Swift.

“It’s a big world out there, and we all have a lot of responsibility to look out for people who can’t look out for themselves,” telethon organizer George Clooney said in an MTV interview that aired Thursday night. “So what we can do is first and foremost, raise money. Period. That’s it …

“If I thought we could all pick up shovels and go in there and help without being in the way, I think a lot of people would do that.”

An estimated 200,000 people were killed after a powerful earthquake struck Haiti last week, devastating the nation.

The two-hour program will air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The special will also air on PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, E! Entertainment Network, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, Centric, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, Epix, Palladia, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health and Planet Green, as well as Canada’s CTV, CBC Television, Global Television and MuchMusic. It will also air internationally on BET International, CNN International, National Geographic and MTV Networks International, available in 640 million homes worldwide. “Hope for Haiti” will be the first U.S.-based telethon airing on MTV in China. Facebook and Twitter are the official social media partners who will help to drive donations and tune-in to the telethon.

People can begin donating even before the start of the 8 p.m. EST concert via phone and text. Viewers can also download musical performances from the show via iTunes for 99 cents. Those profits will also be donated to Haiti relief.

Also Thursday, DiCaprio announced he was donating $1 million to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, the relief effort led by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and one of the organizations benefiting from the telethon.

The MTV reality show star accused of brutally beating his one-year-old daughter has just turned himself in to police in Cobb County, GA.

Cops tell us Markice “Kesan” Moore — who was on season one of “From G’s to Gents” — is now in custody … but has not been booked yet.

Moore was placed on Cobb County’s most wanted list after he was accused of breaking both of his infant daughter’s arms, one leg, 3 ribs and a collarbone.

Since reporting our initial report, we got some MORE INFO on what happened. We spoke with a member of Kesan’s family who told us THEIR SIDE OF THE STORY.

According to the family member, said the incident happened approximately 5 months ago when Kesan’s daughter was visiting him. They said that the child “fell off the bed” and as a result of the fall, suffered the injuries that police are charging Kesan with.

Markice “Kesan” Moore — the MTV reality star accused of brutally beating his one-year-old daughter — has been released on $20,000 bail.

Moore said the only thing he should be held accountable for is the broken wrist his daughter suffered when she fell out of her bed in July.

Rapper Ja Rule lost a bid Wednesday to keep a loaded gun found in his luxury car from being used against him in a weapons-possession case.

Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers rejected the platinum-selling artist’s argument that the gun was found during an unjustified police stop of his Maybach sports car after a July 2007 concert.

Gilbert Arenas just got charged with felony gun possession after “joking around” with 4 of his handguns in the Wizards locker room with teammate Javaris Crittenton. CBS Sports reports:

Prosecutors charged Arenas with one count of carrying a pistol without a license, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison. The charges were filed in D.C. Superior Court in an “information,” a document that often signals a plea deal.

Arenas’ lawyer and the Wizards had no immediate comment.

Arenas, who has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA pending the investigation, has said he kept multiple guns in his locker at the Verizon Center. The three-time NBA All-Star said he wanted to keep them away from his children and didn’t know what he was doing is illegal.

He says he took them out of the locker on Dec. 21 in a “misguided effort to play a joke” on a teammate.

League officials have said the locker room incident stemmed from a card-game dispute between Arenas and teammate Javaris Crittenton on a plane trip two days earlier. At least seven Wizards players and coach Flip Saunders have appeared before a grand jury or been questioned by authorities.

Earlier Thursday, police searched for a gun at Crittenton’s apartment in Virginia but did not seize any evidence, according to court documents. It’s unclear what role Crittenton played in the incident and whether he had a gun. He has kept a low profile and has said he did nothing wrong.

Gilbert was already suspended indefinitely from the Wizards and he can pretty much kiss that $111 million contract goodbye. Even if there’s a plea bargain. In the meantime, my 2 Dreamies just came in the mail. Maybe I’ll let Gilbert borrow one since he now has more time to enjoy it….

New Orleans rapper Mystikal has officially been released from prison and seeks to reestablish his career as a Hip-Hop artist.

“I’m back. It almost feels like a dream,” he said in an interview with New Orleans’ radio station Q93 FM. “Six years off the scene for most rappers, it would be over with, but it’s a new beginning for me.”

“Now that he has been released from prison, Mystikal is looking forward to getting back in the game,” a source close to the rapper said “He’s laying low for now, but he’s definitely happy to be out and looking forward to working with everyone.”

The rapper, born Michael Lawrence Tyler, was released from prison late yesterday evening (January 14) after serving a six-year sentence for sexual assault and battery.

Mystikal had always maintained his innocence and said that his spirituality helped him maintain.

“It had to be God . Going through it, it was tough. I had to get outta my way and let God handle that,” he stated. “He had his arms wrapped around me tight.”

Mystikal also commented on the slew of rappers that are going to jail or recently returning home from jail. He said that rappers aren’t necessarily targeted wrongly, even though he feels falsely imprisoned.

Mystikal’s lengthy prison sentence stemmed from an incident in which he forced his hairstylist to perform sexual acts on him and his bodyguard.

He initially denied the charges, but accepted a plea in 2003, when a videotape of the incident was presented during his trial.

Because he taped the sexual assault, both men were charged with extortion.

Prior to his stint in prison, Mystikal was a chart topping rapper who have collaborated with artists like The Neptunes, Scott Storch, Juvenile, Outkast, Da Brat.

He didn’t indicate particulars on what he would be doing with his musical career, but said he had been writing significantly during his stay in jail.

Mystikal also plans to mentor kids to help them avoid the pitfalls that he was unable to avoid.

“I’m gonna let these knuckle head kids know…that dog that’s barking at them…he bit me,” he said. “I’m gonna be doing a lot of positive stuff.”

He said it hurt to be in jail for the death of his sister and Soulja Slim, as well as not being able to help his hometown during the Hurricane Katrina tragedy.

Sounding excited, he further indicated that he had been wronged, but moreover that he was prepared to reenter the music game a star.

“Wait ‘til I shake the world up now. I want reparations.”

A relative says soul singer Teddy Pendergrass has died in suburban Philadelphia at age 59.

Pendergrass’ son says his father underwent colon cancer surgery eight months ago and had “a difficult recovery.”

Rapper Lloyd Banks got locked up yesterday.

The Canadian police picked up the G-Unit rapper for assaulting a local concert promoter.

What happened? Word is that Banks showed up to the club late, and when the promoter had the nerve to — you know — be angry about it, Banks went nuts. According to police Banks and three of his goons kidnapped the promoter. They reportedly took him back to his hotel room, where the beat and robbed him.

The promoter called the police when he was finally released and Banks and his three goons were arrested. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery.

R&B singer Keyshia Cole reached  to issue the following statement, in response to her mama Frankie going on the radio and claiming that she’s already married:

To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward.

Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. What happened? Well, a few weeks ago, Danger was FORCIBLY COMMITTED to a mental institution by her family. And according to a MediaTakeOut.com snitch, she was told that she should stay on ANTI-PSYCHOTIC medication. The insider claims that Danger is prone to delusions when she’s not on her meds.

Rapper Romeo Miller has announced the launch of a new record label and several new projects, now that his stint as a guard on the University of Southern California’s basketball team has ended.

Romeo, who was recently named one of the Top 10 Sexiest Men Alive by Internet website sexiestmanliving.com, is currently refocusing his career away from basketball and back to music.

“I am featured on the College Boys album which is titled Spring Break, which is dropping March 9, 2010,” Romeo revealed . “Hip-Hop is my passion and my life.”

Romeo is also returning to the studio to release a new album titled Box Office Hits, which is slated to hit stores in August of 2010 on his new label, Next Generation Records.

Romeo, son of mogul Percy Miller (p/k/a Master P), was recently removed from the roster of the USC for a previous infraction, although he remained tightlipped about the incident.

“I’m sad that my basketball season at USC will end early due to a violation from an incident that happened two years ago, which is not fair,” Romeo stated. “But I’m also happy about the new opportunity I recently received to play in this big block buster movie.
