According to LA Fox News affiliate, Fox 11 News, the fake Rick Ross is ready to settle with the former crack dealer whose name and image he hijacked for his own financial gain.
“Freeway” Ricky Ross says the former corrections officer, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, has made millions exploiting his name and image.
In an interview two years ago, after he finally came clean about his former life as a prison guard, Roberts denied ever knowing who Ricky Ross was when he assumed the name of the former crack dealer.
Now that the real Ross has filed a $10 million lawsuit against him, Roberts quickly changed his name to “Ricky Rozay” and he’s anxious to ante up some cash to settle the suit.
But Ross wants the lawsuit to proceed through the courts. He told Fox 11 that the fake Ross has made millions using his name and it’s “too late in the game” to settle now. He also wants 50% of Robert’s royalties.

DJ Khaled gathered up some of the heavyweights in Hip Hop for the remix to “All I do is Win”. The video features appearances by T-Pain, Diddy, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Fat Joe, Jada Kiss, Swizz Beatz and Fabolous.
Khaled and company also performed this song during Sunday Night’s BET Awards show but someone forgot to call Fabolous to join the festivities. He sat in the audience and watched as they performed the song without him which left him feeling a certain kind of way:
Kat Stacks Gets BEAT UP AGAIN . . . This Time By One Of Young Moneys AUNTIES!! (The Lady DRAGGED RAT STACKS By Her HAIR) Sad!!
Busta Rhymes was involved in some sort of infraction at a party surrounding the BET Awards.
This happened at Mr. Chow’s (diddy’s party) or some swanky restaurant. Anyway, whatever happened, happened. Some people are saying that Busta hit a woman over the head with a bottle, but some other sources are telling us that he actually threw a glass bottle to the woman. Striking her? Not sure.
Here is the other side. I am hearing that the woman in question is the lady of a big time Crip in Los Angeles. From what I understand and hear, Busta may have a real issue right now. The “streets” are saying that Busta is going to need to squash this or he’s not going to be able to have fun in Cali.
Earlier today, BET aired footage of actress Vivica A. Fox critiquing the fashions displayed by celebrities on the red carpet at the 2010 BET Awards last night.
Vivica wasn’t very flattering when it came to her assessment of Monica’s avant garde gown. Mo responded to the perceived insult by taking to her Twitter page this evening, and ever so politely, slammed Vivica’s age and fashion sense.
Jay Z, Rihanna and Beyonce were all INVITED to perform at the BET Awards. But when they learned that Chris Brown would be performing. They said they were busy.
Rihanna and Jay have tours coming up that they are having trouble selling – of course they needed the exposure.” But the insider told us, “It was a matter of principal, if BET was willing to support Chris after what he did – that was THEIR BUSINESS. But were not going to have ANYTHING to do with the show.”
And not having any of the BIG THREE on the show was a problem. According to Nielsen, this years BET Awards drew 15% fewer viewers than last years.
There were a lot of great performances, from Diddy, El Debarge, Alicia Keys, Trey Songz, ect. But these are our top 3 must see performances:

Michael Vick can’t stay away from these trouble-making a$s clowns:
A former dogfighting pal of Michael Vick was shot moments after crashing the NFL quarterback’s birthday bash and angrily flinging cake in his face, witnesses told The Post yesterday. Quanis Phillips, a co-defendant in Vick’s dogfighting case, flew into a rage when Vick and brother Marcus Vick told him early Friday to leave the 30th-birthday party at a Virginia Beach nightclub, witnesses said.
Vick is barred from associating with Phillips under his parole agreement. Phillips’ brother was at the bash, too, and seemed to be an invited guest, mingling easily with other partygoers. But once Vick and his brother spotted Quanis Phillips, they told him to get lost, witnesses said.
Before leaving, Phillips slapped a piece of birthday cake off a female partygoer’s plate, splattering the face of the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback with frosting. “Michael didn’t react. I was surprised,” a witness at the bash said. “But Marcus was the one who reacted. He had this I-can’t-believe-this-just-happened, we’ve-been-disrespected look on his face. He was very agitated.” Phillips left the party screaming and continued hurling obscenities from the parking lot of the Guadalajara nightclub, witnesses said.
“Phillips was still yelling, even outside, then five minutes later, a shot rang out in the parking lot,” a witness outside the club said. A Virginia Beach police spokesman said last night that the probe into the shooting was continuing and that no one had been arrested. Phillips, who was sentenced to 21 months in prison for his role in Vick’s infamous Bad News Kennels dogfighting operation, was treated at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital before being released.
Rap mogul Diddy has wasted no time in addressing recent disses by 50 Cent and responded to the G-Unit leader during a BET Awards 10 after-party last night.
“Hate is for suckas. And you know who I’m talking to, you hatin’ ass crab.”
Standing alongside actress Taraji P. Henson and Big Tigger, Puff addressed 50′s recent attacks.
“I love my people, eh yo let’s stop the hate man,” Puff said during the BET Awards 10 afterparty. “Congratulate. Hate is for suckers and if you hating, you’re a sucker and you’re ashy and your breath stinks. And you know who I’m talking to you hatin’ a** crab.” (BET Awards 10 Afterparty)
Recently, 50 said Diddy is not an authentic emcee because he uses ghostwriters.
“You know what’s interesting, he’s not an artist,” 50 said in an interview with Nancy B. “An artist would be somebody that actually wrote something, maybe on the record or because we have R&B artists that don’t actually write music, maybe it’s unfair because of the pressures people put on me. Imagine if I just sat around and listened to people’s CDs and say I’m just gonna say the first verse I hear that sounds good. That would completely take away the pressure and I would still be the artist in front of you with a new song every two minutes because every artist that has a song that would like to make some money off it would send it. It doesn’t make you special. When you actually do what I thought was a part of hip-hop and made the culture exciting to me, which was each person’s original experience and how you learn to enjoy them as an individual and their portion of their life. So when that’s not there because they’re being an executive, saying you don’t write rhymes you write checks, that’s not hot. For hip-hop, that’s not hot. Maybe for another genre it’ll work, R&B or something else because they’re made, these people are all made and when companies decide they’re gone, they’re gone. Immediately, because they couldn’t even figure out what to do without a team of people figuring it out for them.”
Earlier this month, Fif clowned Puff’s upcoming Last Train to Paris album.
“His music sucks,” 50 said in an interview. “It’s bad. He’s not an artist anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. When you think about it, is he a rapper? Because he says he doesn’t write rhymes, he writes checks. Like the same things that I would say are wrong with a Rick Rossproject, it’s not authenticity to what he’s doing. Now he’s a singer? I think that’s Kanye West‘s part. Kanye’s an artist, if he’s making those artistic choices — it’s different. Puff is just buying a record and singing. Nobody’s buying He even said it himself that he doesn’t expect it to sell, he doesn’t care about the sales, he’s just using it as a promotional tool and standing next to these fools is a promotional tool too. Why does Rick Ross remind him ofBiggie? Any Biggie fan objects to that. So how can he say that?”
After about four minutes of some of the best Michael Jackson inspired dancing you will see,
Chris Brown broke down crying on stage during the BET Awards tonight. The waterworks start around 4:30 mark if that’s what you’re into — but seriously, his dance routine before that was amazing.
He started crying right as he got to the “Man in the Mirror” portion of the medley.
Mariah has ordered Kenneth Bordewick, her interior designer, to bid on an ornate living room set owned by Michael at Julien’s Auctions, which will be held tomorrow in Vegas.
Michael bought the furniture to fill the London mansion he was supposed to live in during the run of the “This Is It” tour.
According to the auction house, the living room set — which MJ bought for $200,000 — could fetch $1 million. The open bid — $150,000. The proceeds — minus commissions — will go to Jackson’s estate.
You gotta believe Mariah will put old lady plastic covers on the furniture, in case Nick has an accident.

Young Money rapper Drake’s Thank Me Later debut dominated the charts by opening up at No. 1 with over 447,000 records sold.
The Canadian-based rapper’s debut topped the charts today.
Drizzy’s long-awaited, highly anticipated debut LP, Thank Me Later, had many fans and critics speculating that he might be able to sell one million records. The industry insiders at hitsdailydouble.com projected the Toronto talent to do about half, but now the legitimate numbers have been tabulated. According to the Nielsen SoundScan, the Young Money artist has sold 447,300 units, the biggest first week numbers of the year, so far.
Yesterday, Drake wrote via Twitter and thanked his fans for their support.
“Thank you for the support…thank you for the memories…thank me later.”
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” (Drake’s Twitter)
Canadian hip-hop phenom Drake’s proper Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown debut, Thank Me Later, debuts at #1 on this week’s HITS album chart with 463k, the third-highest total of the year after Sade and Lady Antebellum.
Despite his album leaking last month, Drake recently said he was not concerned of its impact.
“I always said if I had put out an album that was poor quality andmusic that people didn’t enjoy, then I think the leaks would hurt me,” Drake said in an interview. “Because a lot of the feedback has been great. The word of mouth, music is something that is to be enjoyed. I think it can help me so, June 15th, I’m still confident.”
Chris Brown celebrated his new girlfriend Jasmine Sanders’ birthday yesterday by baking her a cake along with his homie-lover-friend Teyana Taylor, then the threesome headed out to Playhouse nightclub to party like rockstars.

Did Ciara fans run the Dream off of twitter!
This past weekend The Dream (@officialdream) deleted his twitter account after posting a series of tweets addressing an interview that he did with Parlour Magazine. In the interview, he explained why he doesn’t help Christina Milian out with the baby at home and he also explained why the album that he is working on with Ciara may be her last opportunity to “fail”:
“You only get so many times to, and I won’t say fail, but not achieve”
There’s an expectation of where Ciara should be in her career. To others, she’s achieved but not to us, because we saw where her career was headed. But now she’s back on the horse. When she first came out I, like Lil Jon and Jazze Pha, understood exactly who she was. It was that whole Atlanta vibe because if i’m not Atlanta, no one is. I knew if I had a chance to get with her creatively, there’s a specific type of swagger that she’s got. Tricky and I did her whole album, but it’s not all shallow songs like “Ride.” There’s play time but there’s substance too, it’s a great listen.
Ciara’s fans thought he was dissing her by saying that she only had one last time to “not achieve” and they bombarded him with angry tweets before he responded:
Look up the word context. And also become familiar with the phrase “taken out of context” it helps.
I believed in Ciara when every1 else walked away &talked shit I love her that’s my sister!Actions speak louder than words.
In the same interview, he also riled up a few people when he was asked if he helps Christina Milian out with the baby.
I don’t because my “helping out” turns into expectations. I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.
He also sent out a tweet addressing the negative feedback he received from his response:
Everyday I’m with my kids is fathers day they will love no matter what! Rich or poor! That’s who I work for!
He then deleted his twitter page.
According to the Madison PD, the woman claims the incident went down after the rapper — real name Joseph Cartagena – performed at a concert at The Orpheum Theater last night.
Cops tell TMZ Fat Joe was detained for questioning — but he was not arrested. He was released this morning — sometime before 7 AM.
So far, no arrests have been made and police tell us the investigation is ongoing.
Today, Joe’s lawyer Dawn Florio released this statement:
Rapper Joseph Cartagena, known as Fat Joe, members of his entourage and security staff were briefly questioned by members of the Madison, Wisconsin Police Department who were investigating false allegations made by a woman who initially posed as a fan and later claimed to be the victim of an assault after demanding money.
At no point did Mr. Cartagena or any member of his entourage assault or have any improper contact with the woman. It is truly unfortunate that false allegations such as these cause the public to doubt the claims of actual victims of sexual assaults.

When the Los Angeles Lakers won an NBA championship last week, it was not just a victory for the players on the court. Another winner was Khloe Kardashian, who may or may not have married Lakers forward Lamar Odom last year. The reality TV personality may have another White House visit in store for her soon.
Earlier in the year, Kim Kardashian, who had a long romantic entanglement with Reggie Bush, also enjoyed a pro sports championship when the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl.
At least one NBA player thinks the famous family may be part of the Lakers’ and Saints’ success. Ty Lawson, the standout rookie for the Denver Nuggets, tweeted today: “I heard if u hit a kardashian u win a championship.. Kim k holla me!!! I need ya for 17 min.” Afterwards he added that he is willing to “take one for the team.”
Lawson even referenced the recent rumor that Kim Kardashian is dating Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin, writing that if the receiver wins a championship next year, the “thing is amazing.” Scroll down to see the tweets.

Amber Rose has been hitting the scene hard during her trip to Miami this past week. She’s been spotted out at Club Play and now she’s hitting the beach in an itsy bitsy bikini in true Amber Rose fashion.
Whether she’s in a full length couture gown, a skin tight dress, or a barely there bikini, Amber Rose can rock anything and make it look sexy and beautiful.
Amber posed with fans, friends and her cousin during her beach outting.
And the “Basketball Wives” reunion fallout has begun. After last night’s dramatic and scrappy reunion show, Gloria Govan‘s–one of the “Basketball Wives”–fiance Matt Barnes has taken to Twitter today to go off on his fiance’s co-stars.
Check out Matt calling certain ladies’ “hoes” and blasting them about their antics. Plus Evelynand Jennifer‘s rebuttals–including blasting him about cheating with some model on Gloria while she was pregnant!
Matt is going off saying all these women are just Shaunie’s “puppets”. And he blasts them for their “hoeish antics”:
Yesterday a Baton Rouge grand jury has indicted Lil Boosie (government name, Torrance Hatch) on a first degree murder charge.
And it gets even WORSE . . . we can expect ANOTHER first degree indictment against Boosie in the next few weeks. – and they’re going to go for the DEATH PENALTY.”
We’re not sure WHAT to say . . . but good luck Boosie . . .
Amber Rose and the girl whom she used to call her sister, Dez – are now OFFICIALLY ENEMIES!!
According to one of our snitches,
Amber told Dez’ …boyfriend R&B singer Mario …that Dez was only using him… in an attempt to BREAK THEM UP.
But it didn’t work, Mario didn’t believe her.
Well Dez found out what Amber had done – and pu her ON BLAST!! Dez went onto Twitter and aired out Amber’s business – ncluding that fact that she was DUMPED by Kanye West (like we told you).
Before becoming Kanye’s girlfriend Dez and Amber were best friends. The two met in a Philadelphia STRIP CLUB (where they were both dancing). They soon became BEST FRIENDS and lovers.
A little birdie told us from a VERY reliable source that R&B singer Keyshia Cole is pregnant . .. with her SECOND child from NBA baller Daniel “Boobie” Gibson.
Daniel and Keyshia welcomed their FIRST CHILD . . . a baby boy into the world on March 2nd.
Now according to a person in Keyshia’s FAMILY, she’s with child again. The family member explained,
“I can’t say whether planned it like this or not. All I know is that I’m hearing that she’s pregnant.”
Here is some video footage of Gucci’s latest visit to Yee’s The Morning After show. If you know what a Yee interview is like, then you should know to expect a lot of explicit talk such as b!g dicks, phat asses, eating out girls etc.
Amber Rose glammed up her overnight “celebrity” image a bit in a new shoot and interview for YRB magazine. She seems to be channeling a Marilyn-Minaj character witht he wig and poses.
She also expresses to the mag how her boyfriend Kanye West played Captain Save-A-Stripper and “saved her life”.
Young Money’s Drake has revealed a conversation he had with incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne this month and said his boss made some unexpected comments.
The YM emcee claims Wayne suggested that Drake was a better artist than him.
“To him, there’s a whole world moving out there that he hasn’t seen for so long. He was just like, he told me something I never thought I’d hear him say, which was, ‘You’re the ultimate artist. You’re better than me.
You don’t have the tattoos, you don’t cause any trouble. People like you.’ He was like, basically, ‘Look at me and look at you.’ He was like, ‘Man, listen. You know what I think you’re about to do?
You’re about to do 2 million.’You’re about to do two million the first week. Whatever, man, whatever you do, do not get no tattoos never in your life. They gonna think you got it because you came around me.’
He said the same thing to me :
‘Don’t change yourself, please. You got it. I’ve never met a young dude that has it figured out, but you got it. Don’t mess it up. Just be you. Sing! Rap! Be you. Don’t stop smiling.’ That’s what he said.”
Last night, I was taken aback after watching a video of folks going nuts at a free concert in New York before Drake & Hanson was suppose to hit the stage at Seaport. The NYPD showed up and refused to let Drake perform which made the ruthless crowd even angrier. Some of them walked away chanting “F*ck Drake”. According to Miss Info’s twitter, Drake called in to Hot 97 and told Funkmaster Flex
“I’m disappointed. This was my day and took a piece of it. ”
Earlier that day, he had a ton of radio interviews with stations across the country. He attempted to dodge any questions pertaining to the brewing beef between Lil Kim & Nicki MInaj, however, The Mad Hatta Morning Show asked him what he thought about Kim calling him a p*ssy. See what he had to say and videos of the chaos in New York below:
On Lil Kim calling him a P*ssy:
I really don’t care… sometimes I get a lil impulsive when you start talking about the people I love. You can say whatever about me, I’ll never respond to it, like I’ll never react to it, but if you start talking about the people I love then I do get a little bit more reactive and that’s all that happened there, Nicki’s got records climbing the charts and today Thank Me Later is in stores, so it’s just about relevant people today…
He also talked Li Wayne
It was sad, because today was a day I wanted Wayne with me bad. He believed in me before anybody… I miss him.. It’s sad to see him in that situation… And him not being able to record music… I can see it in his eyes, it’s a painful thin

I want to know about this! It looks like Rick Ross and Kanye West are about to do an album together. Peep what Rick Ross told us via his Twitter.
But What this is more interesting if you ask me. The title, I am wondering whether or not Ross is planning a name change? He’s using the Rozay name quite a lot. With the “real” Ricky Ross seeking damages, you think this is the way for Ross to escape a lawsuit?
Keeping in shape: Halle Berry visited the gym in Malibu today
The Oscar-winning actress split from Canadian model Gabriel Aubrey, who is nine years her junior, last month and both said they were sad about the decision.
Berry has been married twice before, her first marriage being to former baseball player David Justice and her second to musician Eric Benet.
50 Cent has shown no signs of stopping his taunts toward Diddy by publicly bashing the rap mogul in a radio interview this week.
Fif believes Puff should not be categorized as an artist and taunted the recent quality of music from him.
“His music sucks,” 50 said in an interview. “It’s bad. He’s not an artist anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. When you think about it, is he a rapper? Because he says he doesn’t write rhymes, he writes checks. Like the same things that I would say are wrong with a Rick Ross project, it’s not authenticity to what he’s doing.
Now he’s a singer? I think that’s Kanye West’s part. Kanye’s an artist, if he’s making those artistic choices — it’s different.Puff is just buying a record and singing.
Nobody’s buying He even said it himself that he doesn’t expect it to sell, he doesn’t care about the sales, he’s just using it as a promotional tool and standing next to these fools is a promotional tool too. Why does Rick Ross remind him of Biggie? Any Biggie fan objects to that. So how can he say that?”
Earlier this week, 50 also called out Diddy’s new records.
“It’s the truth. It’s bad, so he’s gotta try and stay next to something else that has some momentum for him to be all right — from a business perspective, it seems like a cool move but not a cool move for hip-hop.” (Power 98)
In 2006, 50 dissed Puff on his G-Unit Radio Part 22 mixtape song called “Hip-Hop”
“Who shot Biggie Smalls/If we don’t get them they’re gonna kill us all/Man, Puffy know who hit that ni**a, man, that n***a saw him/He’s scared ‘dem boys from the West Side will break him off, jump on his a**,so he run to Harlem to shake ‘em off.” (“Hip-Hop”)
Lil Kim has done it again this time ripping Drake in an exclusive interview with Thisis50.com. The Hardcore rapper used some harsh words for Toronto’s own Drizzy Drake saying:
“I really liked Drake. I use to like him but for him to have the audacity to disrespect me. This n*gga gonna f*cking shout me out when Ray J is the one that said it. How b*tchy do you look right now. You look like a straight p*ssy, P*ssy! Cause you came at me and I am a f*cking female!”
Drake is voicing Jace Stratton, a new playable character in the upcoming finale to .
In the finale to one of gaming’s most recognizable sagas, Epic has added four player cooperative campaign gameplay, allowing them to bring characters from the extended “Gears” universe to life.
“Jace is a central character in the comic books…” said Epic Executive Producer Rod Fergusson. “When we began casting for the role, ‘So Far Gone’ had just released, and Drake’s combination of heart and grit was just what we were looking for. Rather than search for somebody who sounded like him, it was clear that we should approach him directly… fortunately he turned out to be a huge fan.”
“When Epic came to me with the role, I couldn’t pass it up,” said Drake. “They’ve created an amazing character in Jace, and I’m looking forward to my tour in Delta Squad.”
How’s this for a come up? In front of 84,490 fans Kellz and the Soweto Spiritual Singers performed “Sign Of Victory” during the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Drake has finally decided to speak on his little moment with Rihanna , where she hit it and quit it. In a recent interview, Drake spoke on how Rihanna used him to write some songs for her latest album and then made him feel like a cheap little hooker. He also touches on when he was robbed at gunpoint back in Toronto…
“The fact that Drake has a background that differs from your prototypical rap artist — from Toronto, multiracial, the fact that he was a child actor — corporate America, they’re attracted to that,”
said Shawn Gee, Drake’s business manager. But Drake’s difference has also made him a target. In May 2009 he was robbed at gunpoint in a Toronto restaurant.
“I feel unsafe in Toronto at all times,” Drake said. “I’m a one of one. There’s no one else you can hate as much as me if you hate money, or you hate success.”
In “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship.
“I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me?
She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,”
he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”
Nicki Minaj covers the latest issue of VIBE Magazine wearing a painted on get up, pop the hood for a few more of the recently published outtakes from her cover shoot
Christina Aguilera performed in black sequined tights and skimpy, skin-tight red hot pants on “The Today Show” this morning. Let the summer sizzle begin!
She’s obviously a fan of tight fitting clothes. The singer made waves in March when she released the promo for her new single, “Not Myself Tonight,” which features scenes of her writhing around in skin-tight rubber costumes.
Christina insists the footage was an homage to Madonna and admits she loves wearing tantalizing clothes. Aguilera told Q magazine, “I’m really into fetish gear and latex is really making a strong statement for me. Good body contours.”
He let MTV News get the full skinny on why he dissed Lil Kim the way he did. He also revealed that he and Lil Wayne would be doing an album when Weezy got out of the clink.
“I went to Rikers and we agreed that there will be a Lil Wayne/ Drake album….that will probably be one of the most exciting things of my life. We just make music on another level It’ so fun, it’s so comfortable. A whole album? Just think about what we could do…”
“I feel that’s signs you’re just losing it. I really did take that personally. That bothered me…That just wasn’t G to me at all.”
“I feel like Lil’ Kim is a G in the game. I feel like you’re a part of an era that’s classic, that we’ll never forget as young kids, me and Nick,” he said of his Young Money family member. “You don’t have to do that. You don’t have to get onstage and tell people to pay homage; that’s a given. I’ve watched Nicki pay homage time and time again…”
“I didn’t respect at all. Whoever else was onstage with her, I didn’t respect that at all. You just wearing your heat on your sleeve. You’re showing that you’re upset. Nobody’s done that to me yet. I would never expect Jay or ‘Ye to get onstage and be like, ‘Pay homage to me. You need to respect me.’ They know they command my respect with their music and talent….I feel that’s signs you’re just losing it. I really did take that personally. That bothered me. I really don’t get caught up with the Twitter and Internet stuff, but I did see it. And I feel like you’re supposed to be a G. That just wasn’t G to me at all.”
G-Unit leader 50 Cent has weighed in on the current war of words between Nicki Minaj and rap veteran Lil Kim.
“I think it’s other things irritating Kim outside of Nicki Minaj, just having momentum of new artists doesn’t offend artists that have established themselves long before that,” Fif said in an interview with radio personality Lady La. “It’s obvious that she was inspired by some of Kim’s , but that’s not bad. And it’s not a whole lot of female artists that you can make reference to so you’ll see those little influences even stronger and I think she’s hot, she’s got a good little thing going on right now as far as Nicki Minaj is concerned. I think it’s probably a little more irritating to see Puffy standing next to Nicki and for him to say that Ross reminds him of Biggie, because that’s desperation on his part because his music sucks right now. It’s the truth. It’s bad, so he’s gotta try and stay next to something else that has some momentum for him to be all right — from a business perspective, it seems like a cool move but not a cool move for hip-hop.”
Lil Kim was spotted yesterday on a photo shoot for Three Olives Vodka, which is the newest edition to Vodka’s 18 signature flavors. YRB caught up with the Queen B while there and she talked about her decision to participate in the campaign, as well as her promo tour and new book.
On how she became the Spokesperson for Three Olives
built the campaign around me, which I thought was really great. That was really awesome. I was really honored. I was amazed they even thought of me. That was one. A lot of times my management finds things, but I would say 90% out of 100%, these things come to me. I’m blessed.

Last week we were told that no U.S. promoter was willing to put together a tour for the troubled singer in this country due to the backlash they would surely receive from enraged domestic abuse groups. Well, it seems the convicted woman beater won’t be touring in Europe either!
Brown posted this “tweet” about an hour ago on his Twitter page. He then deleted it a few minutes later. But thanks to Twitter, the tweet was saved for a few minutes before being completely removed.
They say hip-hop ain’t dead, it just moved to the South! But truthfully hip-hop has had a home below the Mason-Dixon far longer than many are willing to acknowledge. Hip-Hop hasn’t always been kind to its Southern brothers and sisters but whether through raw, trunk rattling bass, or funkdafied soul samples; pioneering voices from Florida, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee and Mississippi would not be denied.
Often armed with unique Southern slang, gritty lyrics and dignified drawls these musical messengers made bodies move, kept alive painful past truths and communicated the current struggle of so many people who continue to live in a land that’s been scarred by slavery. And we listened. Even without the major label avenues, Southern music grew and spread until it became the force that drives todays radiowaves. Just look at the Billboard charts and you’ll see a Southern rapper by the name of B.O.B. knocked Rihanna off her number one spot.
As VH1 prepares to salute Southern pioneers Organized Noize, Luther Campbell and 2 Live Crew, Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, J. Prince and Master P for this year’s 2010 Hip Hop Honors, BOSSIP compiled a gallery of our favorite Southern rappers, past present and future for your viewing pleasure.
Be sure to tune in tonight at 9pm/8pm EST/CST only on VH1!!!!
Last night at the historic Hot 97 New York Summer Jam Cassie roamed around backstage waiting for her “friend” Nicki Minaj to get off stage. Once Nicki Minaj left the stage Cassie was there to greet Nicki for each of her numerous performances. As fans mobbed Nicki and the paparazzi swarmed Nicki Minaj, Cassie played the back, until Nicki Minaj would eventually grab her hand and walk off together into the restricted area.

Chris Brown and rapper Bow Wow were unwelcome Wednesday night. First, the duo crashed the listening party to which they weren’t invited for Drake’s new album at MSR studios hosted by the Cash Money crew.
Next, Brown and Bow Wow popped up at Meatpacking club SL — but were turned away by security.
“They showed up with a huge entourage all trying to get in, but they were totally denied at the door,” a spy tells Page Six.
The rejected posse finally found refuge at Greenhouse, where they partied with Brandy and her brother Ray J into the wee hours.
Kelly arrives and presents at Vh1’s anual Hip Hop Honors in NYC. Vh1’s Hip Hop Honors will be TV broadcasted on Monday June 7th at pm EST.
We Recieved some EXCITING NEWS to report. We’ve EXCLUSIVELY learned that Derek Watkins (a/k/a Mr. Fonzworth Bentley) is getting married to actress Faune Chambers on July 10th in Atlanta.
A lil birdie tells us that Fonzworth is having a bachelor party this weekend in New York City and another one next weekend in Atlanta.
He’s trying to keep the wedding a secret although no one is exactly sure why. They got engaged around the Christmas holidays.
Lil Kim hit the stage recently and worked the crowd with her “Crush On You” lyrics. After the crowd went nuts and pretty much rapped all the lyrics for her, Kim snatched off her colorful wig and threw it into the crowd saying “I’m SO ABOVE this!”
Folks are constantly accusing Nicki Minaj of swagger jacking Kim’s late 90′s style–especilly the colorful wigs the Queen Bee rocked in her “Crush On You” video.
Lets look at the evidence:
Gary’s divorce lawyer, Randy Kester, tells us the couple divorced on August 12, 2008, and as far as he knows they never remarried.
Kester does not know if Price had a power of attorney to make medical decisions.
A hospital official told us they have “become aware he may not have been married to her.” But the official said she was portraying herself as Gary’s wife and they didn’t require further proof.
“He just got home, I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere,” she says. “I don’t know if he’s OK. I’m not down there right now because I have seizures, if I get stressed out I’m going to seize.”
Price says Coleman had fallen. “His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. I don’t know what happened,” she says. The operator asks, “Is there any way you can go down there at all?” Price replies, “I’ll try, I don’t know, I mean…”
When the operator asks if anyone else is there who can go downstairs, Price says, “No,” and adds, “I’ve just been kind of sick. I don’t want to be traumatized right now.”
Price then is heard saying, “Gary, are you OK?” and telling him, “Stay where you are” and “Don’t move, Gary.”
The operator asks Price to tell Coleman to put pressure on his own wound. “Gary, you’ve got to put pressure on your wound,” Price is heard saying. “He’s lethargic, I can’t really help him. I just need help quick.”
The operator says help is on the way. “I just can’t be here with the blood,” Price says. “I’m sorry, I can’t do it. I can’t. … There’s blood all over and I can’t do anything.”
Price later says, “I can’t drive” because she has seizures and she’s been sick. “I can’t do anything right now.”
The operator asks Price to “at least give him a towel” so Coleman can apply pressure to his wound. Price replies, “Yeah, I’m just panicked. I don’t know what to do … I just don’t want him to die. I’m freaking out.”
Next, she’s heard telling Coleman, “You have to put this on your head … Keep pressure on this, OK, hold this.” She tells Coleman, “You need to sit down. Sit down! Gary, sit down!”
She tells the operator just moments before emergency crews arrive: “I’m gagging, I got blood on myself, I can’t deal.”
Drake’s anticipated album, Thank Me Later, leaked to the internet and streets earlier this week, two weeks before it hits retail.
The leak has not publicly disturbed Drake, who took to his Twitter to comment on Wednesday.
Unlike many artists, Drake told his fans to enjoy the album, but also reminded them of the release date.
“I gave away free music for years, so we’re good over here … just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY! JUNE 15th!” Drake said on his twitter.
Thanks Me Later includes appearances by Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Bun B and others.
