Don Cornelius said that he had “flashes” of how big Soul Train could be when he first conceived of it and produced it. He added that Soul Train was a “response” and “mirror” reflecting what was happening in soul music. Further, he said that he had to many fond memories of Soul Train to pick a favorite.
