Gabrielle Union Weave Causes Alarm At Airport
Poor Gabrielle Union – her hair is always getting her in trouble at the airport!
Union was stopped by airport security earlier today after being told her weave set off an alarm. The actress then took to Twitter to rant about it all.
Details inside Union was getting ready to board her flight at an unspecified airport when the alarm went off, requiring a pat down of her head:
“Ma weave got “flagged”
by the bodyscan at security.
TSA required a hair patdown. No lie…they coulda just asked if it was the temple hair,” she told her Twitter followers.
“If human hair & thread sets off the bodyscanner…a lot of folks jus ended up on the “watch list”…its a weave not terrorism.”
Her followers than started sharing their own airport weave woes and one person said that black TSA agents usually understand, to which Gabrielle replied,
“Girl it WAS a black female TSA agent!”
Gabrielle was a good sport though, tweeting as she boarded her flight,
“Bout to take off…hopefully my weave doesn’t cause turbulence…its clearly very powerful “
Union was two movies that will debut in the next few weeks: Good Deeds, out February 24 and Think Like A Man, out March 9.
