Rep. Allen West to Democrats: “Get the Hell Out of the United States”
During an impassioned speech at a GOP dinner in Fort Lauderdale, Republican Representive Allen West expressed frustration with the Democratic party’s “message of equality of achievement,” “economic dependency” and the enslavement of the “entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people.” One of West’s most provocative statements was for Democrats to take those ideas and to “get the hell out of the United States of America.” West also stated that Florida was a battleground, and that he intended to keep the state red during the next Presidential election.
